I’ve always loved to read. I had ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas memorized by the time I was three, and ever since then I am hardly ever seen without a book in my hand. When the time came for me to pick a college and decide on a career, I knew I wanted to do something in the publishing industry. A double major in English and Communication from Trinity University and a graduate of the Columbia Publishing Course, I landed a publishing job working as an Associate Learning Architect for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in Austin and couldn’t be happier.
I started playing golf when I was a freshman in high school, and haven’t stopped since. The sport has given me many great opportunities and I plan on playing as long as my body will let me! My faith is also a very important part of who I am. Without the grace, mercy, and love of Jesus Christ, I know I would not be where I am today.
If there is anything in the world I love as much books and golf, it’s Disney. While this blog may only be called Books, Birdies, and Earl Grey, my love of Disney is sprinkled throughout my posts and is made even more obvious by my Pin board on Pinterest. Yes, I’m nearly 25, yes I love Disney, and no, it’s not weird.
Writing has always been enjoyable for me, and after talking to friends, family, and professors I was persuaded to start a blog a few years ago. My thoughts are few, but hopefully these ramblings will inspire someone else to pursue their passion.
Thanks for reading!
